About me

I am a stay at home mom of three boys ages 5, 3 and 1.  I absolutely love spending my days with my boys.  They are a lot of fun and keep me busy! My husband and I have been married for 7 years. We lived in Vegas for the first 3 years of our marriage so that my husband could attend Law School at UNLV.  In Vegas I enjoyed taking a wide variety of art classes especially painting and drawing at the University of Nevada Las Vegas.  UNLV had an outstanding Art History program and so I chose to make Art History my official major and I graduated with my Bachelor's degree in 2005.  I look back fondly on the time I spent in art classes and studying Art History.  After graduation my husband began practicing law in Utah and we have loved living close to family again.

Art has continued to play a big part in my life.  I love visiting art museums and festivals, reading about art and making my own paintings. I enjoy spending time painting in the evenings when my kids are sleeping. My boys and I also love to do art projects together. A big highlight for me has been teaching art classes for my children and friends their age.  We have had a blast creating art work together, visiting museums and holding Exhibition nights.  You can see oodles of pictures from my last class by clicking on the "summer art class" links on the right of this blog.  I did not take many pictures of my other classes - which I totally regret!  As a mother I have come to see first hand how children are born with a desire to express their innate creativity.  It never ceases to amaze me what my children create when they are given the freedom to express themselves artistically, even at very young ages.  As a mother I feel it is important to make time for art and provide opportunities for my children to develop their own unique works of art.
